 Hello there, everyone, and welcome back to The Friendly Film Fan! As I sit here continuing to ruminate over and think on Greta Gerwig’s Little Women, I thought I would go ahead and take the time to recommend to you some other movies which you may not see on any end-of-year lists from me that I believe nonetheless deserve a shout-out. Most of these films don’t appear on any other lists I’ve yet made, either, but (as per the title of this piece) I would still recommend checking them out all the same. They can be just pretty good, they can be a ton of fun, or they can be somewhat disappointing for the potential they had but still worth one’s time. (This is also the spot where I like to give shout-outs to the short films I watched during the year, as they too deserve recognition, and often end up on the Academy’s shortlist for Oscar nominations in their respective categories.) Whatever the case, even though they’re not going to make my personal Top 10 lists, here are some of my other Recommended Movies of 2019! (This list is in alphabetical order purely for organizational purposes. It is not intended to be read as an official or unofficial ranking of the films listed.)
